Christmas Events/Trees/Decorations

The Christmas events held in Bettws, Blaengarw and Pontycymer seemed to have been enjoyed despite the wet weather and a broken timer. Santa and his elves visited each event and gave out lots of chocolate, there was community singing led by members of two churches in the valley and refreshments were served.

In addition trees were added in Bettws and Blaengarw, as well as wooden remembrance trees in each ward for residents to place remembrance baubles, and there were additional solar powered trees on lighting columns in Llangeinor, as well as new column lights in Bettws, Blaengarw and Pontycymer.
